20 - 23 of October 2011– «Saint Petersburg PHOTOFAIR»,which included exhibition of the newest photo equipment, moreover, a rich programme of seminars and master-classes, sets of professional photo shoots, festivals, and collective exhibitions. Among the participants of technical section were: AQUA PHOTO STUDIO, CANON, CARL ZEISS, COREL, CPS, CRYSTALIUM, FALCON, FOTO DI, FOTOTREND, INKSYSTEM, HENSEL, HOFMANN /EUROCOLOR, KATA, KINOTEHNIK, LENSBABY, LEONASTAGE, LOMOND, LOWEPRO, MANFROTTO, MAGIX, MAXON, MEADE, MOVIE YEAH, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC, NATTYKS PHOTO, NERO, NIKON, ONITEX, PENTAX, PROFOTO, REKAM, SAMYANG, SONY, TAMRON, AVRAS, BRONKO, INKTRADE, ISTA, SIVMA-PHOTOTECHNIQUE, SIDOSE, SPECPHOTO, TRUEMAN, PHOTOCUBE, PHOTOSKLAD, PHOTOFRAME, YARKIY MIR, ZOOMA, ZONER … full list Every day big amount of professionals and photo enthusiasts was gathered for the workshops of famous Russian and foreign photographers, which were conducted simultaneously at several sites: in the conference studios, runways and stands of the participants. Seminars were held organized by: CANON, FALCON, LOMOND, MOVIE YEAH, NIKON, PENTAX, SONY, SIVMA… and master-classes by: : Alexandre Astafiev, Alexander Zhdanov, Igor Sakharov, Leo Melikhov, Dmitry Mukhin, Sergey Romanov, Alexander Nasonov, Igor Alexeev, Asya Gordeeva, Andrey Gordasevitch, etc. Programme
For the first time master –classes of the Photopractikum Podium were held thematically each day: advertising, fashion, wedding, children photography. Within the exhibition the round table of the Business club of managers of the Russian photo industry was held. It was dedicated to actual questions in the photo business sphere. From the premier photographic projects shown at the exhibition, the ones to be underlined are «Parade of photo-clubs of CIS countries», the contest «The best Russian photo-blog» and exposition «Body language of politicians». Parade of photo-clubs of CIS countries–nowadays this is a new form of presenting of creativity. The organizers of the exhibition together with the Portal of photo-clubs of CIS countries gave opportunity to every creative person to be seen in the central exhibition ground of Saint Petersburg. In the first year Parade gathered dozens of creative teams from Russia, Ukraine and Belorussia Contest «The best Russian photo-blog»joined those who speak and write in Russian. More then 500 photo-blogs took part in the competition. The selection was made in two stages and only six best photo-blogs in six categories were presented in the PHOTOFAIR «Body language of politicians» continued our traditional photo gallery of important faces of Russia. The exhibition contained about 50 photographs. These were mainly works of photographers of the so-called Kremlin pool, possessing their legendary ability to see people trough. Experienced professionals Alexander Astafiev and Anatoly Zhdanov conducted master-classes «Photo-objective reality» for everyone interested. The works of «My Canon» contest winners were as well represented. At the last day of the PHOTOFAIR the innovative project Photowebexpo was started. This is the first and only specialized virtual exhibition in Russia dedicated to the photographic market. This innovative project will enable anywhere, anytime, day or night to visit the virtual exhibition, where each of the famous participants will show in their virtual booths the full line of cutting-edge achievements.
